Emilio naci\u00f3 el 6 de julio de 2023, con <strong>Blefarofimosis, ptosis, s\u00edndrome de epicanto inverso (BPES)<\/strong>\u2014una enfermedad gen\u00e9tica rara y el primer caso conocido en cualquiera de nuestras familias.<\/p><p>El caso de Emilio era grave. De no tratarse, podr\u00eda haberle provocado problemas de visi\u00f3n, postura deteriorada, ansiedad social, baja autoestima e incluso acoso escolar. Como padres primerizos, est\u00e1bamos decididos a brindarle la mejor oportunidad para una vida plena y saludable. Tras una larga b\u00fasqueda, encontramos a un cirujano experto que ayud\u00f3 a Emilio a abrir los ojos, cambiando su vida para siempre.<\/p><p>Pero lo que m\u00e1s nos impact\u00f3 fue la poca ayuda, apoyo e informaci\u00f3n confiable que ten\u00edamos para orientarnos.
